L. B. BAKER HALL OF HONOR Induction on April 10-11, 2026,
at the Hamilton Eye Institute in Memphis.
On April 10-11, 2026, you can see for yourself how Mid-South Lions works with the medical professionals and facilities at Hamilton Eye Institute in Memphis to make MIRACLES for your patients.
Beginning at 5 PM on Friday, we’ll have some great food, fun, and fellowship on including food, drinks and games booths from each state, an auction and some other fun fundraising activities plus an opportunity to visit with Lions from all four states.
And as a special added attraction, we will induct three GREAT Lions into the L. B. Baker Hall of Honor. Dinner will begin at 7 PM in the Freeman Auditorium and the ceremony will follow.
Past Mid-South Presidents Bill Holbrook and Bill Norris along with long-time supporter and golf tournament sponsor Sam Ware will be inducted. These outstanding men have dedicated their lives to service and have helped hundreds of patients regain the gift of sight.
Saturday sign-in will begin at 7:30 AM with events starting at 8. Your tour will include our operating room suites, the one-of-a-kind pediatric floor and our research facilities. World-renowned ophthalmologists and outstanding Lions will lead your tours. For more info go to www.midsouthlions.org We should adjourn about 2 PM. Afterwards we will hold a special in-person meeting of the 2026 USA/Canada Forum Memphis Host Committee. We expect that meeting to last about 90 minutes.
COST FOR THE ENTIRE WEEKEND IS $50 PER PERSON. IF YOU PLAN TO ATTEND SATURDAY ONLY, THE COST IS $20 PER PERSON. DRESS IS CASUAL FOR ALL EVENTS.
A block of hotel rooms has been arranged at the Holiday Inn Express at 1180 Union Ave. The rate is $109 plus tax (about $127) per night. Please call 901-276-1175 to make reservations. If you have a problem, ask for Elise. Do not allow them to transfer you to the national reservations line!
